Tomorrow (Thursday, Oct 22) is the big day – time to throw your hat into the ring to become a Host with the Most at Chi Fan for Charity 2020!
To date, 48 top restaurants across the city have donated tables of ten for the evening of Nov 21 for the 12th anniversary of what amounts to Beijing's top charity social occasion, where the city's movers and shakers dine out for a good cause.TOMORROW (Thursday, Oct 22), bidding opens at 9.30am for those who would like to be among the Chosen Few. There could not be a simpler way to earn karma, demonstrate Corporate Social Responsibility, or simply have a great time and know you're helping those less fortunate in the process.
Here's a preview of how it will work:
Step 1: Sign up! You will be asked to tell us where you want to host. Please enter your contact details and rank your five most desired restaurants, in order. Remember there is a high demand for table hosting, so you'll need to be quick!
Step 2: After you submit your five most desired restaurants, you will see the QR code & link to Yoopay. Please pay a deposit via the Yoopay platform. Remember to pay particular attention to adding your email and mobile phone number correctly and the same as the one you fill in the questionnaire, as this is how your confirmations will be sent.
Remember, only ranking the restaurant is not enough to be a table host unless you pay the deposit. So please make sure you both rank your five most desired restaurants and pay the deposit.
Step 3: On October 29, we'll assign tables using an algorithm that gives you the best chance of getting your highest-ranked restaurant. Virtually everyone will get one of their top five, but if in the off chance we are unable to place you in one of your top five, we will contact you to offer an alternative choice. If you only pay the deposit without ranking your desired restaurants, we will assign you a table randomly.
Step 4: Once you receive your table assignment, you will then have 48 hours to pay the balance for the table (the total price minus your deposit). If you do not, your table will be re-assigned and your deposit will go to charity.
Step 5: You will be introduced to your point of contact at the restaurant, who will be holding your event programs and wrist bands, which get you into the afterparty.
Then: gather your guests and enjoy!PLEASE NOTE:
To protect the integrity of the assignment system, deposits are non-refundable. All cash – deposits and balances – are given to our designated charity, Beijing Hidden Treasures Foundation.
However, since this year has been unpredictable (to say the least), we have taken some precautions in case of a second wave here in Beijing and/or enhanced government regulations/restrictions in the coming weeks.
In the event of a second wave, the CFFC event will be canceled and all money that was prepaid for tables will be refunded via the Yoopay app.
At the afterparty, EVERYONE will need to show their “green” health code for Beijing.
At the afterparty, we will also have a temperature check (as required from the hotel). And hand sanitizer will be available at check-in.
All guests must have a CFFC wrist band or entry into the afterparty will not be allowed.
Masks at present will NOT be required, but recommended. (Unless the government changes the rules.)
And lest we forget to remind you, your dinner will be followed by a massive all-you-can-drink afterparty at the Rosewood Hotel. All diners get in free, where you will drink, dance, and partake in an instant raffle (none of this bogus stage nonsense with an emcee shouting “Number 23112! Who has 23112? Anyone? Last Call!" ). So keep an eye out on the night!
